Paynesville Classic Boat Rally 2026

Running alongside the Gippsland Lakes Boat Show, the Paynesville Classic Boat Rally brings an unforgettable spectacle to the lakes, with both events collaborating to create the region's biggest and most vibrant boating weekend.

Across the weekend, Paynesville comes alive with a stunning fleet of classic vessels on show from Tall Ships and elegant sailing craft to vintage motorboats, skiffs, fishing boats, small craft and more. If it’s over 25 years old or holds historical significance, you just might see it here.

On the water, highlights include the breathtaking Grand Parade, where the full fleet sails through McMillan Strait and into Lake Victoria, along with tall ship cruises and feature events planned throughout the weekend. Visitors can also launch their own boats and enjoy the lakes before returning to share stories with fellow boating enthusiasts.

On land, beautifully restored wooden, fibreglass and rowing boats create a fantastic display along the foreshore, joined by rooftop dinghies, music, entertainment and maritime stallholders.
