GETTING TO THE SHOW

The 2026 Gippsland Boat Show is located in the heart of Paynesville.

Along Paynesville Esplanade from the Marina to the Raymond Island Ferry.

Paynesville is easily accessible by public transport, with V/Line train services from Melbourne to Bairnsdale and a connecting bus direct to Paynesville.

For those driving, parking is available throughout the township, including near the foreshore and main event areas.

  • Visitors travelling by public transport can take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station to Bairnsdale, with services running regularly throughout the day.

    From Bairnsdale Station, take the Route 13 Paynesville Bus, which provides a direct service to Paynesville in about 30 minutes.

    This seamless train-to-bus connection makes getting to the Gippsland Lakes Boat Show easy and accessible for all visitors.

  • Paynesville is serviced by several local transport operators, making it easy for visitors to arrive by public transport. Paynesville Bus Lines (Route 13) provides the main connection between Bairnsdale Station and Paynesville, with a direct 30-minute service.

    Additional regional operators, including Regional Transit and Gillicks Buslines, also serve the East Gippsland area, offering coach connections and charter services for travellers heading to Paynesville and surrounding towns.

  • Ample parking is available throughout Paynesville, including near the event precinct.

    Variety children’s charity volunteers will manage the car parking. Please feel free to provide a donation.

  • Paynesville offers a range of scenic on-road and shared bike paths, making it easy to explore the town and surrounding areas on two wheels. Bike parking is available around the foreshore and township; however, please note that bikes are not allowed to ride through the event precinct during the Gippsland Lakes Boat Show.

  • For visitors travelling from interstate, flying into Melbourne Airport (MEL) is the easiest option, with regular services from across Australia. From the airport, travellers can take the SkyBus to Southern Cross Station and connect to a V/Line train to Bairnsdale, followed by a short bus ride to Paynesville.

    Private and charter aircraft can also land at Bairnsdale Airport, located just a few minutes from town, offering an additional option for those arriving by air.
